Don't worry IOS and Android fill provide you a virtual T9 keyboard. Well in new Sony Xperia NXT series it come pre-installed, while in other android you have to install and its free of cost.
In sony Xperia models all you have do is go to setting menu>select Language & input > select setting button next to Xperia keyboard >select Keyboard appearance> keyboard layout you will find your T9 keyboard there.
Other Android users Download GO keyboard from play store or click here
IOS user you can have T9 keyboard but its not free in app store to download click here
